稻 香

Jay's new album, Capricorn 魔杰座 will be out on 9th of Oct! Already heard his first single from the album : 稻 香 (Rice Fragrance). It's basically talking about his childhood in the country, and reminding us that life should be simple and though we can want more, we should always cherish what we have now. Song reminds me of 听妈妈的话, and he wrote the lyrics. A nice song for a first single, and as usual he manages to do something different while staying true to himself. I can't wait for the album!

The Queen.. of squash

This is an old one but I just thought I'd post it up.  2 months ago I was at The Curve to witness Nicol David, world No.1 female squash player and Malaysian, clinch the 2008 CIMB Malaysian Open.

Also managed to get her autograph and picture afterwards. She's pretty nice to her fans.. (although prior to this I had never seen a squash game before..)

I think I share the same opinion with a lot of Malaysians when I say that in my opinion, she is the greatest Malaysian athlete in recent history. She is consistent, dedicated, and despite all the titles and trophies, she is still a modest person.

It's already too late for the Olympics to include squash now isn't it...?

Dreams

I just found out today that Jon got accepted to undergo pilot training for Singapore Airlines..

I also just found out today that being a pilot was Jon's dream since high school .. *ashamed*

I feel quite happy for Jon in that he has stepped out of what some people would call 'the norm' to realize his dream. In fact this has shown me a side of him I've never seen before.. under all the foolishness and nonsense he always portrays, lies a guy who just wanted to fly someday.

It got me thinking about my own dreams.. to be a game developer for a leading game company.. and for now I'm happy to say that I'm at least heading in the same direction.. 

Dreams shape the direction in life, and give us something to aim for. Whether or not u achieve your dreams, the most important thing is what you have learned and experienced throughout the process.

I congratulate Jon and wish him all the best. The skies shall be your playground soon! Hope that 1 day when I go on a flight on SIA, I will hear the intercom announce "Your pilot today is Captain Jonathan Jason Goh, have a nice flight."
